Most Americans Pray Daily

The vast majority of Americans, 90%, say they pray daily, while 50% say they pray several times a day, according to a Brandeis Univ. study.

The study also reported that about 80% begin their prayers with a familiar greeting like “Dear Lord” or “Hello, Jesus,” 75% of Americans pray for themselves, families and friends, and only 25% pray for themselves alone.

Asking God to guard loved ones or watch over children is one of the more popular prayers.
