April showers bring…Christmas movies? It may only be spring, but Great American Family is already preparing for their annual Christmas movie season.
One of the most highly anticipated flicks is ONE MORE CHRISTMAS, starring Candace Cameron Bure and Jonathan Scarfe. The story follows a divorced couple who become stranded together during a severe winter storm. This forces them to confront their past and is a story of redemption and new beginnings.
“ONE MORE CHRISTMAS is about marriage, family, and the beauty of second chances,” Bure told Us Weekly last month. “It asks the question: what if you could have a do-over — but this time with maturity, faith, and a deeper understanding of who you are and who God is at the center of it all?”

Another movie, AN ACCIDENTAL ARCTIC CHRISTMAS, stars Cameron Mathison and Jill Wagner. It follows a father and daughter whose trip takes a wrong turn, leaving them stranded in a small arctic town. While dealing with the cold and unexpected problems, they meet a wildlife conservationist, learn more about each other and the true meaning of Christmas.
“This story reminds us that the best gifts in life aren’t always the ones we plan for,” Bure told Women’s World of the movie, which she’s producing. “Sometimes you miss your boat, literally, and end up exactly where you’re supposed to be.”
A VERY EVERGREEN CHRISTMAS, starring Katie Leclerc and Jeremy Guilbaut, is all about love and keeping promises. Like many holiday movies, it shows characters learning what really matters during the season, such as relationships and second chances.
GAF’s synopsis reads, “At its heart, A VERY EVERGREEN CHRISTMAS follows Abby (Leclerc), who inherits her Aunt Helen’s cherished tree farm under the condition she spends 14 days working the farm to rediscover its true meaning. Through a few bumps along the way with Ethan, the farm’s longtime caretaker and Abby’s best childhood friend, Abby learns that the farm and its Christmas trees are symbols of faith, hope, and the timeless values of the season. Together, Abby and Ethan rekindle the beauty of caring for what truly matters: roots, relationships, care, community, and the true spirit of Christmas.”
Jillian Murray leads THE TROUBLE WITH MISTLETOE as an acquisitions executive heading to her hometown for Christmas.
“…She happens to cross paths with her former fiancé — and being back in a familiar place with familiar faces leaves her questioning her future,” Women’s World described.
More details on the upcoming Christmas movies as well previous movies can be found on the Great American Family website.
