A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS struck chords with Trisha Yearwood, who says the special inspired her new holiday album, Christmastime.

“The album I have to play every Christmas is A Charlie Brown Christmas. I love every single song, and I’ve always wanted to record ‘Christmas Time Is Here.’ I knew it had to be on this record,” Yearwood said in a press release.

“I walked down the aisle to that song when I married Garth. We had a Christmas wedding, so it’s always been extra special to me.”

Yearwood loves the song because it highlights everything that Christmas means to her.

“Especially the spirit of Christmas,” she added. “…We seem to be kinder to each other during the holidays — we’re nicer in traffic. We’re just nicer to people in general, and the sentiment of this song is, ‘I wish we could carry this spirit through the year.’ That’s needed.”

David Campbell arranged Yearwood’s version of the song. It features over 40 orchestra instruments, Country Living reported.

“Christmastime is here!” Yearwood announced on Instagram Nov. 7. I am so excited to finally share my brand new holiday album with you – Merry Christmas, xoxo, Trisha. ❤️”

“Creating this record has truly been like living in my own winter wonderland,” she said in another post.

The record includes “Pure Imagination,” from 1971’s WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” THE SOUND OF MUSIC’s “My Favorite Things,” the Elvis classic “Blue Christmas” and an original with her husband, Garth Brooks, “Merry Christmas, Valentine.”

“It was his idea…The lyrics of the song are really about the presents are under the tree, and there’s one from you to me,” Yearwood said of “Merry Christmas, Valentine.” “It’s really romantic. It’s an original song but it really is fitting for the holiday and I’m really excited that we got to do that together.”

A true Christmas fanatic, Yearwood shared reels of herself scrolling for Christmas recipes in October, counting down to Christmas in October and putting her Christmas decorations up on Nov. 1.

She shared that every year, she makes a Christmas breakfast lasagna that’s Brooks’ favorite. It came out of generations of Christmas love.

“I hope the kindness we show one another this season is a practice we can all carry throughout the year,” Yearwood said while reminiscing on the recipe. “Each of us has the essential ingredients to do that, in our own unique way. Love one another.”

Yearwood also has a lot of other Christmas festivities going on this holiday season.

On Dec. 1, she’ll sing in the DISNEY HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR on ABC and Disney+ and Hulu. Then, on Dec. 3, she’s starring in A CHRISTMAS IN NASHVILLE, which will be available on NBC and Peacock.
