Brenda Song is dishing on all things family, from traveling with her sons, to her favorite family Christmas traditions.
“I love traveling; it’s a huge part of our family time together,” the actress told Parade. “We’re actually taking our boys to New York for the first time, which is really exciting! I love New York — especially during the holidays — and I really wanted to share that with my kids.”

The SOCIAL NETWORK actress shared that her favorite type of family vacation is a trip to the beach — “My boys just love playing in the sand, and it felt like a nice mixture of being able to relax with the family, but also still be able to have a nice dinner with Mac. It still felt romantic and cute, but also very family-friendly.”
In an interview with Travel + Leisure, the actress said she hopes to instill a love of travel in her sons.
“Letting my boys enjoy the experience of traveling has been really nice,” she said, adding, “We want our boys to be little travelers.”
Song also revealed her favorite family Christmas traditions, saying they “always do a mall Santa photo.”
“I’ve done it as a kid my entire life, for so long. And now I do it with my kids and I absolutely love it. I think it’s the best thing,” she said.
Her sons have also gotten to see HOME ALONE, which stars a much-younger version of their father.
“They loved it,” Song said. “They jumped into the middle of it and it was really, really emotional for both Mac and I just to see our kids watching — it was a very surreal moment. But it was really heartwarming to be able to see my boys watching their dad in something very, very iconic.”
She continued, “I think this is the first year that they’re comprehending the movie and now they’ve set traps, like in our house. I was like, ‘Oh no, we’re at that phase!’ But they don’t understand that Mac is Kevin or anything; they have no idea.”
Culkin spoke to People about watching the movie with his family, joking, “They have no idea that I’m Kevin.”
From traveling the world together, to enjoying holiday season traditions, it looks like Song is having fun with her family!
