Andrea Bocelli Performs ‘Amazing Grace’ at National Prayer Breakfast

Italian singer Andrea Bocelli performed “Amazing Grace” at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 1.

The event was attended by several dozen members of Congress and President Joe Biden. 

“The ceremony featured numerous prayers, including one that Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn and New York Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand delivered specifically for President Joe Biden,” the Louisiana Illuminator reported.  

U.S. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson read from Psalm 37. 

“Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong, for like the grass, they will soon wither, like green plants, they will soon die away,” Johnson said. “Trust in the Lord and do good.”
