Ben Napier and Sadie Robertson Huff Agree on This One Thing

By Movieguide® Staff

Can heartbreak be a good thing? Sadie Robertson Huff thinks so.

“I feel like we’ve kind of gotten a little too afraid of heartache,” Ben Napier said while appearing on Huff’s WHOA THAT’S GOOD podcast. “You read in the Bible and there’s so much heartache, and it’s not necessarily bad.”

The DUCK DYNASTY star shared that she’s been reading through the Psalms, and “it’s re-taught [her] how to pray, think, [and] meditate.”

“We don’t know how to deal with a broken heart. We fear it, when sometimes, it’s necessary,” Huff explained, adding that David’s story is “so cool, because in those Psalms, it’s like the truth of how hard heartbreak is is matched with the truth of how faithful God still is in the midst of it.”

She said that, while “we fear that [emotional pain]…if it’s worth gaining clarity, it’s worth it.”

“That’s why reading through the Psalms is so important, because it’s reminding you, ‘Where does my help come from?’ when [heartbreak] happens,” Huff concluded. “It’s kind of building up your faith for when those things happen.”

Huff and her family have recently been celebrating the addition of DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL to Hulu.

“We’re so excited more people will be able to watch – we love sharing these moments of our lives with y’all,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

Speaking to Fox News about the enduring popularity of DUCK DYNASTY, Huff’s dad, Willie Robertson, said, “I think right now — I think it’s important for the country to see a family, to see a healthy family and to see joy in the things that come out of our family.”

He continued, “We certainly saw that before with our family, where so many people would come to us and just say, ‘Thank you for putting that on.’ Maybe we can’t all live by each other. We can’t all sit together and have a prayer at the end of a meal. But we love seeing that. It helps encourage us. And so I think in these times — I think that can be helpful.”

“The anchor has been, really, the faith that goes back to our three things that we started DUCK DYNASTY with, which were faith, family and ducks — in that order,” he continued. “The stronger our faith is, it helps keep our families together… when the family’s together, it can help whatever you’re doing at work.”

Huff recently teased in a Taste of Country interview that they’re “already filming” new episodes of the revival series, revealing, “There’s more cast members from the original show on Season 2.”

Huff’s recent comments about the value of heartbreak are an important reminder that even the hardest times can show us the strength of God’s love for us.
