Brad Krevoy Praises A PARIS CHRISTMAS WALTZ at Movieguide® Awards

By Movieguide® Contributor

Executive producer Brad Krevoy accepted the Teddy Bear Award® for Best Family TV on behalf of A PARIS CHRISTMAS WALTZ.

“We had a great time making this film,” Krevoy said while accepting the award. “It just proves that you can make a high-quality film on a medium budget and still shoot in Paris.”

The Award for Best Family TV is awarded to the programming that brought the best television entertainment to families around the country. This year’s nominees included A CHRISTMAS BLESSING, DIVINE INFLUENCER, A MILLION MILES AWAY, A THOUSAND TOMORROWS and, of course, A PARIS CHRISTMAS WALTZ.

A PARIS CHRISTMAS WALTZ told the story of Emma (Jen Lilley), an amateur ballroom dancer who travels to Paris during Christmastime to compete in a pro-am dancing competition. During the event, she is paired with professional dancer Leo (Matthew Morrison), a dancer Emma really admires. Though feelings are sparked during their time together, their relationship is stunted by Leo’s rule to never date his dance partner. A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:

PARIS CHRISTMAS WALTZ stands out from other Christmas romances. Director Michael Damian brings lots of pizzazz to the movie in the vibrant dance numbers, abetted by a lush score by Nathan Lanier. It’s a joy to watch Jen Lilley and Matthew Morrison, as Emma and Leo, work their magic on the dance floor and in a fun dance routine with a street band. A powerful rendition of “O Holy Night” frames the movie’s climactic, impressive dance number. A PARIS CHRISTMAS WALTZ also mentions answered prayer, God and the Baby Jesus in Nativity displays.

The movie was a part of last year’s Great American Christmas, a holiday celebration run by the Great American Family network. Each year, the network produces dozens of new holiday movies starring some of the biggest talent.

Along with A PARIS CHRISTMAS WALTZ, some standouts from last year’s Great American Christmas included Candance Cameron Bure’s MY CHRISTMAS HERO, Trevor Donovan’s ‘TWAS THE TEXT BEFORE CHRISTMAS and Jill Wagner’s BRINGING CHRISTMAS HOME.

Movieguide® previously reported on Great American Christmas:
