Caitlin Clark just made WNBA history once again.

The athlete secured her 10th double-double during the Indiana Fevers’ game against the Atlanta Dream, putting her at the top of the record book for most double-doubles in the WNBA.

During the game, she scored 27 points and had 11 assists, according to Sports Illustrated.

The impressive part? It took WNBA legend Diana Taurasi 565 games to make 10 double-doubles and Courtney Vandersloot 430 games to reach the number, per CBS Sports. Clark achieved the record in just 42 games.

Unfortunately, the Fever ended up losing 90-91 against the Dream, a result that could have been avoided, according to Clark.

“I mean it’s really hard when you dig yourself a hole like that in this league,” Clark told the media after the game. “Like it’s tough, I thought we had a bad start to the game, I thought we had a bad start to the second half. I felt a little flat as a group out there on the floor, so you know, we can’t put ourselves in those types of positions.”

Despite the loss, Clark isn’t stressed about it as it’s still early in the season.

“That’s the great thing about this league, you have a day and then you play again. So, nothing to get too worked up about. A lot of positives, but also a lot of things we can really get better at,” she said.

Clark thrives on crowd involvement. She loves it when the fans engage and cheer loudly. She felt it during the game against the Dream, and she knows it helps her and her team.

“It felt like the crowd was kind of just waiting for a moment to cheer and kind of go crazy. So, I appreciate them, they really helped us there, especially in the fourth quarter, and helped us really get the lead there with a few seconds to go,” Clark explained. “So, the crowd was incredible, but like I said like it was just flat. We missed free throws, we missed layups, we didn’t really execute. They were physical, and I think that was kind of why we weren’t as smooth as we would have liked.”

Though only in her second WNBA season, Clark has already made history, and as she and the Fever look to bounce back from their loss and regroup tomorrow against the Washington Mystics, she’s certain to have more record-breaking games ahead.
