FULL HOUSE star Candace Cameron Bure reminded us to be gentler when talking to ourselves.
“A gentle reminder that the way we talk to ourselves matters. If you wouldn’t say it to the younger version of you, it’s time for more grace,” she wrote in an Instagram caption.
In her post, Bure shared photos of herself now and as a child, with messages like “I’m too loud” and “I’m too emotional” written across them. However, the lessons her younger self took away from those thoughts were to “keep it inside” and “dim my light.”

Her followers related to his message. One wrote, “Yes ma’am! Our narrative is key to our behaviors and overall health and feelings!” Another commented, “Such a beautiful message everyone needs [a] reminder of!”
Bure recently marked the premiere of Season 13 of “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast.” This season, she is joined by co-host and BACHELOR alum Madison Prewett Trout.
“I loved sitting down with Madison to talk about living boldly for Christ and how staying true to your convictions can help you navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence and joy” the actress said in a statement about the new episodes.
The pair recently discussed modern dating, with Bure encouraging listeners to pursue “human connection,” rather than look for romance on social media or dating apps.
“A person’s not going to drop on your front door like an Amazon package,” she said. “So you do have to put yourself out there and not hide behind your phone or the screen. Or be afraid to have a real conversation with someone to talk to them on the phone and not just text them.”
Bure also pointed out that people looking for a “godly man” shouldn’t go to places like bars or other drinking establishments.
“You might find him there,” she joked. “But [it] might not be the best place.”
Bure has been married to husband Valeri Bure for almost 30 years and recently admitted their relationship has been “a rollercoaster,” adding that there have been “lots of highs and there’s been some really low lows.”
While appearing on Troutt’s “Stay True” podcast, the actress called marriage “a constant reevaluation.”
“You have to continually adapt to what’s new to figure out your rhythms, and the rhythms are going to keep changing,” she explained.
Whether she’s dispensing relationship advice or reminding followers to speak kindly to themselves, Bure is committed to helping others live their best lives.
