Director Dallas Jenkins and THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER cast are sharing the best parts of the movie’s plot — an entertaining arch that families are bound to enjoy.

“The pageant ends up being taken over by this group of ‘worst kids in the history of the world,” Jenkins started in a clip on social media.

“These six Herdman siblings, they’re super naughty, they’ll beat anyone they see up,” said Matthew Lamb, who plays Herdman sib Claude.

“[They] grew up on the wrong side of town,” added Mason D. Nelligan, who plays Ralph Herdman.

“The Herdmans set fire on things. They smoke,” said Lorelei Olivia Mote, who plays Alicia.

“They say the curse word in church,” said Molly Belle Wright, who plays Beth.

“They’re forcing everybody to, like, not get the parts,” said Kynlee Heiman, who plays Gladys Herdman.

“And they auction for the lead roles,” said Ewan Wood, who plays Leroy Herdman. “They get them.”

“Which turns the town upside down, and everybody assumes it’s going to be a disaster, but without giving anything away, let’s just say there’s a little Christmas magic,” chimed in Pete Holmes, who plays Bob.

Other cast includes Judy Greer, GILMORE GIRLS’ Lauren Graham and Elizabeth Tabish.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER comes out in theaters on Nov. 8.

The movie is based on the 1971 book by Barbara Robinson, who passed away in 2013. Aside from being made into a new feature film this year, the story has previously been made into a musical play and a movie in 1983.

Movieguide® recently reported:

Jenkins previously shared his excitement about the movie: “This is a dream come true and the movie I’ve most wanted to make my whole career.”

According to the movie’s official Instagram page, it looks like the cast and crew just wrapped production on Jan. 28.

Producer Kevin Downes shared a photo of himself with some of the young cast on Jan. 26. He said, “2 more days on THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER and the goodbyes have begun. Lots of smiles and tears. The family that has formed, these kids have given their all and you will see it on screen. Some of my stars!”
