GILMORE GIRLS Star Joins Dallas Jenkins’ THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER

Lauren Graham is the latest addition to Dallas Jenkins’ THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER’s cast.
The GILMORE GIRLS star “will play the pic’s the narrator in addition to making a key on-screen cameo. [Kirk B.R.] Woller, [Vanessa] Benavente and [Elizabeth] Tabish respectively play Reverend Hopkins, a first-grade teacher, and church lady Mrs. Grady. Peru native Benavente played Mother Mary in THE CHOSEN, while Tabish portrayed Mary Magdalene,” Deadline reported.
“The family comedy also stars Judy Greer as Grace, the director of the pageant, and Pete Holmes as her husband, Bob,” Deadline added.
Directed by THE CHOSEN’s Dallas Jenkins, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER follows the story of rowdy siblings who everyone seems to have given up on. But when the kids are made to perform in a Christmas pageant, they unexpectedly discover Christmas’s true meaning.
Movieguide® recently reported on Jenkins’ sneak peek of the main kids cast, who play the Herdman children:
“The Herdmans are coming, holiday season 2024. I can’t wait for you to see what we’re cooking up,” Jenkins posted on Instagram alongside a photo of the cast.
Jenkins previously shared his excitement about the movie: “This is a dream come true and the movie I’ve most wanted to make my whole career.”
According to the movie’s official Instagram page, it looks like the cast and crew just wrapped production on Jan. 28.
Producer Kevin Downes shared a photo of himself with some of the young cast on Jan. 26. He said, “2 more days on THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER and the goodbyes have begun. Lots of smiles and tears. The family that has formed, these kids have given their all and you will see it on screen. Some of my stars!”
THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER will be released in the holiday season of 2024.
