Dallas Jenkins Reunites With Cast from ‘One of My Favorite Projects’

The WHAT IF… cast and director Dallas Jenkins recently reunited to celebrate the movie’s anniversary.
“Can you name the movie this little group did together? Hint: it released 15 years ago,” Jenkins captioned a selfie of himself with the movie’s cast. “All right, I’ll tell you. I just had the huge pleasure of reuniting with the cast of my film WHAT IF…, for our 15th anniversary. To celebrate, we recorded a conversation with our memories of the film and some behind the scenes stories no one has heard before.”
He continued, “This remains one of my favorite projects ever, and it’s become a bit of a cult classic over the years. John Ratzenberger, @ksorbo, and @kristyswansonxo were so wonderful in the film, and we’ve decided to re-release it in theaters as a special event, which will include our conversation, sometime in August. Stay tuned for more details!”
A synopsis of WHAT IF… reads, “When Ben Walker (Kevin Sorbo) was young, he left his girlfriend Wendy (Kristy Swanson) and his hometown for a business opportunity. 15 years later he has a high-paying career and a trophy fiancée when he is visited by Mike (John Ratzenberger), an angel who gives him a glimpse into how his life would look had he followed his original plan.”
A review from IMDb calls the movie “an aesthetically beautiful film with wonderful performances on both sides of the camera…Raising the bar for faith-based films, WHAT IF… is hopefully the start to higher standards for movies delivering messages of the Highest Standard.”

Jenkins is also preparing for the premiere of the fifth season of THE CHOSEN. The season will premiere in three parts in theaters March 28, April 4 and April 11.
“I’m really excited and proud of Season 5. It’s on a whole other level. People have no idea what’s in store,” Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus, told Woman’s World. “I mean, we’ve leveled up the show in ways that I don’t think anybody expected. “The emotional range that we see from Jesus has never been captured in this way before. Nobody’s ever really seen depictions of the things that we’re doing because nobody’s ever attempted it before. So I’m really excited for people to see what’s in store.”
