Danica McKellar Celebrates 10 Years With Husband
By Movieguide® Contributor
Danica McKellar, former THE WONDER YEARS child star, recently celebrated 10 years with her husband Scott Sveslosky.
The Great American Family actress took to Instagram to share more about the milestone.
“Exactly 10 years ago, Scott and I met and ever since, I’ve felt like the luckiest woman on the planet!” she captioned in a photo of her and her husband.
“October 16, 2013, we met for coffee, which turned into lunch, which turned into frozen yogurt, which turned into a lifetime together! Thank you, Scott, for being the best husband and partner I ever could have dreamed off. I love you so much and all our adventures together. Here’s to many more decades ahead! Happy 10-year anniversary of our first date!!”
McKellar’s husband is an attorney but often partners with McKellar as the couple come up with new movie ideas.
“Back in 2017, I told my husband that I wanted to play a math teacher in a movie, and he wrote the story for a movie that ended up being called CAMPFIRE KISS, and I did that for Hallmark,” she shared with PEOPLE. “More recently, I said, ‘I really want to dance in a movie,’ and he wrote this story.’” That came to fruition through SWING INTO ROMANCE, which premiered earlier this month.
“He’s not a writer! He’s a lawyer. He just is good at putting together ideas when I really want to do something. And it’s just fun to have that knowledge that he’s a part of this,” McKellar explained.
McKellar frequently shares photos of her family on Instagram. “Beautiful morning at church today with incredible worship. Wishing all of you a blessed Sunday!” she captioned one post.
McKellar recently became a Christian and has been open about growing in her faith.
Movieguide® previously reported:
Danica McKellar explored her faith journey on the “Human Hope” podcast, including the moment “the Holy Spirit entered” her.
“I didn’t grow up with faith, really,” the actress said. “I believed in spirituality, I believed that there was something else…and then when I turned 20-ish, my dad found his faith suddenly.”
McKellar said her father would speak to her about his newfound faith, but she “didn’t really get it.”
“Fast forward many years,” the WONDER YEARS actress shared. “I’m in my 40s now…my friend Candace Cameron Bure brought me into church.”
