Danny Gokey Gets Patriotic: ‘Remember Just How Great Our Country Is’

Danny Gokey wants to remind everyone just how amazing the U.S. is with his song, “My America.”
“I didn’t know why God called me to write the song ‘My America’ last year. I did know it wasn’t a popular sentiment, but felt that God was wanting to use it to help rewrite the negative narrative that has inundated our culture in recent years – to move hearts and help people remember just how great our country is despite the pains of our past,” Gokey captioned a video of himself singing his song, “My America” at a political event.
“…There are many others who STILL BELIEVE IN AMERICA too, and my prayer is that this song is both an encouragement, as well as reigniting patriotism and passion to stand up for religious rights, families, free speech and smaller government 🙏,” the artist continued. “God wants us to know that He’s not done with America, and the best is yet to come!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼”
“My America” displays Gokey’s love and optimism for the U.S. It’s a call to unite fellow Americans to value each other and their country.

Gokey also displays his patriotism through a couple of other songs, including “Brave” and his cover of “God Bless the USA.”

The Christian artist recently shared a few reasons why he voted on Oct. 24.
He said, “Here’s who I voted for and why—it wasn’t based on emotions, it was decided with logic… -Free speech and self-protection…-Law and Order -overturning roe vs wade and limiting abortion (hopefully it will be fully banned one day🙏🏼) … -Cultural and Social issues… -Freedom of religion…God bless America!”
