Ryan Reynolds just launched his series, BEDTIME STORIES WITH RYAN, on Nick. Jr.
“A TV series starring Ryan Reynolds as the star reads new and classic bedtime stories in an attempt to soothe your mind and soul (and also his own),” the synopsis reads.
As Reynolds reads stories aloud in a miniature dollhouse, the tales gradually come to life around him.
The show premiered on Nick. Jr. on March 2. It originally came out on Fubo in June 2023.
Reynolds said on March 2, “It’s like comfy pajamas and fuzzy socks for your eyes and ears. BEDTIME STORIES premieres today on Nick Jr.”
There are over a thousand negative comments and GIFs responding to an ET post about the show, which largely stem from recent drama concerning him and actor Justin Baldoni.

“Literally nobody wants that. Nobody,” one person said.
“😬😬 No thanks! I’ll read to my kids…and if I wanted a substitute, this wouldn’t be my choice. Good luck tho, buddy. 😆” another said.
“Someone is trying to clean up his image 🤔” someone else added.
It’s also somewhat ironic that the man who plays DEADPOOL in R-rated movies would take on this role.
Snippets tease tales from Dr. Seuss and say it will feature stories old and new.
“We’re so happy to create a program with the express goal of putting people to sleep. This show has actually been a dream of mine for a while,” said Reynolds in a statement in 2023. “Story time is a nighttime staple in our home and is a daily reminder of the power of storytelling.”
The actor came up with the idea for the show the day his fourth child was born. He wanted a way to help everyone fall asleep.
“BEDTIME STORIES WITH RYAN is a magical mix of joy and relaxation,” said Pamela Duckworth, head of Fubo Studios at Fubo. “These may be legendary stories, but Ryan’s voice and personality amplify each one, turning them into classics for a new generation. BEDTIME STORIES WITH RYAN is the perfect original show to kick off Maximum Effort Channel’s programming slate of maximum comfort.”
The show is directed by Vincent Peone and executive produced by Kelly Girth, Kevin Hill and Victoria Shamshoyan for Maximum Effort. The show features music from band Sleeping At Last — a fitting pairing.
Deadline reported the show has 15 episodes that will air every day at 9 to 9:30 p.m. ET, and the final episode will air March 13.
