Despite Movieguide®’s many warnings over the years about the content available and geared toward children on Netflix, some parents last week were shocked to learn that the streaming platform contained deeply offensive material that grooms children.
“Netflix’s newly released COCOMELON spinoff COCOMELON LANE features an episode where two gay fathers encourage their son to dress up in a dress,” Movieguide® reported in 2023. “This decision comes as a disappointment for many parents who do not feel comfortable allowing their young children to view immoral content. This is the first time in the franchise’s long history that its kid-safe, family-friendly image has been tarnished.”
The hashtag #CancelNetflix went viral as parents decided to take back control of what their families watch. Now, many of these same parents are trying to fill that content gap with something that edifies Christian morals and biblical values. Enter Wonder Project’s subscription service.

This fall and winter, Wonder Project will bring lots of exciting projects to fans. First up? REDEMPTION, a docuseries slated to premiere in October.
“More than football. More than a national championship. REDEMPTION tells the story of how faith, brotherhood and perseverance defined The Ohio State football team’s unforgettable 2024 season,” the show’s logline reads.
The following month, for KING + COUNTRY’s highly-anticipated concert documentary NO TURNING BACK will be released.
“In this intimate documentary, the Smallbones pull back the curtain on their extraordinary journey from Australia to America, through nearly a decade of failed starts, industry rejections, personal health struggles and navigating the ever-changing world of music,” a description of the doc shared.
A WINTER’S SONG will also premiere in November. The movie tells the story of a struggling musician who rediscovers her passion for music after traveling to Armenia.
Wonder Project will be celebrating Christmas with Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman’s holiday special, rounding out the month of December with documentaries FIGHTING SPIRIT: A COMBAT CHAPLAIN’S JOURNEY and ADVENTURE IN WONDER.
FIGHTING SPIRIT will tell the story of Army combat chaplain and POW Emil Kapaun, while ADVENTURE IN WONDER follows a family as they journey along Croatia’s coastline in a sailboat.
