‘Please Pray for Me’: Former Reality Star Undergoes Surgery for Serious Injury

JON & KATE PLUS 8 star Kate Gosselin asked fans for prayers as she deals with a recent injury.

“Please pray for me tonight and tomorrow,” she wrote in a TikTok post. “I will be fine, but I’m scared and would appreciate prayers! Thanks, guys.”

In the caption, Gosselin shared, “Emergencies don’t care about schedules! Please DON’T worry about me! Please pray instead! Don’t worry, story time to follow when I’m able! Love you guys! I’ll be back as soon as I can!”

The former reality star later updated followers, sharing, “I had surgery this morning and have five different pain meds on board (top 3 most painful surgery). I am not in a position to go into details but only bc I can’t focus. I did well. Details coming soon.”

“I CANNOT thank you enough for all your prayers!” she added. “Love you guys!”

Gosselin hosted a TikTok Live from her hospital room shortly after, telling fans she suffered a leg injury while she and her boyfriend were playing with their dogs. One of the dogs ran at her and hit her in the leg, which caused her to collapse.

“In terms of rating pain…I’ve had kidney stones and this literally rates up there,” she explained. “I was screaming and making the craziest noises and I was aware of it and didn’t care.”

Doctors informed Gosselin she suffered a tibial plateau fracture and would not be able to put weight on her leg for the next three months.

Gosselin has also been open about the health struggles she’s faced since giving birth to sextuplets — Collin, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah and Joel — in 2004. She and ex-husband Jon Gosselin are also parents to twins Mady and Cara.

“When I was pregnant with them, my stomach was squished up here, like 1 inch. You can see it on an ultrasound,” she said in a recent TikTok. “And my bladder was squished way down here, compressed the whole time with baby weight. Compressed, compressed, compressed.”

Gosselin continued, “Ever since then, my bladder has never been right. I can’t exactly explain it, or put my finger on it, but it just is very different after that.”

While most remember her as a reality TV star, today, Gosselin works as a pediatric nurse. When fans asked what happened to her TV money, she replied, “Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS,” she said, explaining that she was “drug into court constantly.”

Gosselin added, “It’s OK. I’m helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping!”

Gosselin’s injury is a bummer, but her fans are happy to hear that she isn’t suffering a more serious medical issue.
