Disney already claimed a series of theatrical dates in 2028 and 2029 for unnamed Marvel, Pixar and Disney projects.
“No guidance on what future titles will fall on which dates from the studio, which updated its calendar Friday,” Deadline reported of the schedule changes.
The outlet reported that an untitled Marvel project is set for July 28, 2028, with two Disney movies claiming Feb. 18 and Nov. 10 for that same year.
Additionally, an unnamed Marvel movie that was set for Nov. 10, 2028 has been removed from the schedule.

The studio also claimed some dates in 2029, with untitled Disney projects on hold for Feb. 16, March 9, May 25, Aug. 3, Oct. 5 and Nov. 9. Two Marvel movies are on the schedule for May 4 and July 13, while a Disney Animation movie is set for June 15, and a Pixar movie scored a Nov. 21 premiere date.
While all these projects are still unnamed, many Marvel fans have made their guesses at what the upcoming movies will be.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased an X-MEN movie during a 2025 roundtable interview, saying, “It’s official, Jake Schreier [THUNDERBOLTS* director] is doing X-MEN for us, and we’re very, very lucky. And we’re very, very lucky to have him and very excited to have him. And so we’re beginning. It’s all starting now. The script’s underway.”
Ryan Coogler is also working on a third BLACK PANTHER movie alongside producer Nate Moore.
“I couldn’t be more excited to apply my experience and passion for film towards theatrical movies in all genres, including returning to the world of Wakanda for BLACK PANTHER 3,” he said in a 2024 statement.
While Disney is keeping these upcoming movies under wraps for now, there are some projects that have been confirmed for 2028, including INCREDIBLES 3 and a sequel to the massively popular live-action LILO & STITCH remake.
INCREDIBLES star Holly Hunter revealed that work on the series’ third installment would begin this month, telling Screen Rant, “I never know what the stories are of INCREDIBLES. I go in and I record with Brad [Bird, who directed the first two INCREDIBLES movies and will write the script for INCREDIBLES 3], or in this case, I don’t know if it’s going to be Brad, but I think that he’s been writing the script. So it’s very exciting.”
With all these theatrical dates put on hold, it looks like Disney fans have plenty to look forward to!
