Eagles Head Coach Praises God for Super Bowl Win: ‘God’s Blessed Us’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni praised God after his team won Super Bowl LIX in a dominating fashion.
“God’s blessed us very much,” Sirianni told FOX Sports. “He gave us all the talents to be able to get here. So, first and foremost, thanks to Him. And this is the ultimate team game. You can’t be great without the greatness of others, and we had a great performance by everybody: offense, defense, special teams.”
“We didn’t really ever care what anyone thought about how we won or their opinions; all we want to do is win,” he continued. “That’s why we listen to my prerogative a little bit when we were after some wins, but thank God, thank you, Jesus.”

At the end of the interview, Sirianni’s family greeted him on the field, and that’s when his tears of joy broke loose.
The head coach hugged his two sons and kissed his wife. Miles, Sirianni’s youngest, said, “Here come the happy tears.”
According to Sports Spectrum, Sirianni has been the Eagles’ head coach since 2021. In that first season, the Eagles were 9-8. The following they were 14-3 and reached the Super Bowl.
The outlet reported that the team “struggled last year to an 11-6 record, largely hindered by a defense that ranked near the bottom of the league.” But by addressing those weaknesses, they made their way to another 14-3 season, topped by a win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9.

Siranni knows that if it wasn’t for the entire Eagles team, the Super Bowl victory would not have been possible.
“You can’t be great without the greatness of others,” Sirianni reiterated.
“All glory to God,” he added. “He gives us the talents to be in these situations, and the talent to be able to coach football, and the opportunity to be able to coach football, so just gratitude right there.”
