Erin Napier Shares Favorite Bible Verse: ‘It Gives Me Peace’

HOME TOWN’s Erin Napier is sharing some of her favorite things, from the best place to pray to her favorite food.
In a Q&A for Guideposts, Napier said her go-to place to pray is “bed, before falling asleep. Before babies, the church altar late at night.”
The HGTV star also shared her favorite Bible verse, Matthew 6:25–26:
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
“I am a worrier, and it gives me peace if I can really focus on those verses in stressful times,” Napier explained.
Napier listed some other favorites as well, including her favorite comfort meal — “A very buttery grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque” — and her favorite thing to do for her spiritual well-being — “Write down the good things that happen every day.”
Napier often talks about her faith, telling the LOVE BEYOND podcast, “We get a lot of messages from people that tell us they can see our faith even if we don’t talk about it. That’s really lovely to hear because you wish you could say more about your faith when you have a public platform. And it often gets edited away.”
She continued, “But it’s so lovely that people are still finding light and optimism and positivity, which for us comes from a relationship with Christ, but for them it may be the first step to wanting to learn more about that. And so I feel lucky that that’s what we get to do for a living every day.”
Napier and her husband Ben are currently getting ready for the premiere of HOME TOWN TAKEOVER’s third season.
“Sebring, Florida, is the latest location getting an epic whole-town renovation in the new season of #HomeTownTakeover,” an Instagram post from HGTV reads. “@scotsman.co and @erinapier, with the help of a slew of all-star experts, will tackle several renovation projects across homes, local businesses and public spaces in the historic lakeside town. The goal of the projects will be to amplify the town’s charm, build community pride and make Sebring a must-visit destination.”

HGTV’s Erin and Ben Napier are heading to Florida for Season 3 of HOME TOWN TAKEOVER.
“It’s a new location and you’ve probably never heard of it because it’s not tourist Florida, which is our favorite Florida,” Ben said of their shooting location, a town called Sebring.
Erin added, “It’s off the beaten path. It’s not the beach. It’s not the amusement parks.”
Ben called Sebring “a really interesting town” and said the couple is “cautiously optimistic” about what they can achieve in the next season of HOME TOWN TAKEOVER.
“This show is really hard to make and we have…a lot of special guests coming and a lot of people coming in to help, but there’s going to be a lot of work that’s going to go into it,” he continued.
The couple also teased some guest stars, with Erin saying, “The real HOME TOWN fans are going to be very excited to see someone who is a part of TAKEOVER Season 3.”
