Hallmark star Andrew Walker answered his fans’ burning question: are CURIOUS CATERER MYSTERIES coming back?
“I wish there were updates on CURIOUS CATERER, but everybody, message Hallmark and go to the chat groups and tell them how much you’re missing CURIOUS CATERER, okay, and we will potentially get here,” the actor told US Weekly viewers. “I’ve been told that we might get some more episodes back. We’re ready to go. Scripts are written, and I’m here.”
The CURIOUS CATERER movies follow Walker’s local detective Tom as he teams up with caterer Goldy (Nikki DeLoach) to solve murder cases. The franchise launched in 2022 with DYING FOR CHOCOLATE.
“I mean, I can’t really tease much,” Walker said of what could be in store for Tom and Goldy. “I know that what we’re going to do is we’re going to start exploring more of the other storylines. So, some of the peripheral characters, people don’t know, really, you know, what’s going on with Marla? What’s going on with Riley’s character? What are the individual characters around them, and their peripheral doing, and where do they come from, and what are their hobbies and fun things they like to do?”
He added, “And because they’re so developed, those characters, even though they’re, you know, they’re not in it as much as Tom and Goldy are. But I think there’s just a lot of fun opportunities there.”
In the comment section, CURIOUS CATERER fans certainly followed Walker’s message to let Hallmark know how much they want the movies back.
“CURIOUS CATERER is marvelous please make more of them,” one person said. Another person, “Hallmark please bring back curious caterer !!!! 👏 us fans are patiently waiting.”
Walker has racked up quite a resumé at Hallmark — more than 20 movies — during his decade plus at the channel. His credits include Christmas flicks like A DREAM OF CHRISTMAS, LOVE ON ICE, THE PERFECT CATCH, LOVE STRUCK CAFÉ, BOTTLED WITH LOVE, MERRY & BRIGHT, MY CHRISTMAS FAMILY TREE, CHRISTMAS ON MY MIND, and most recently MAPLE VALLEY CHRISTMAS, A SAFARI ROMANCE and the hit movie THREE WISE MEN AND A BABY.
Though no new installments have been confirmed, Hallmark continues to run the CURIOUS CATERER movies.
Just this week, the Hallmark Mystery Instagram account posted, “What’s your favorite part of Goldy and Tom’s relationship? The Curious Caterer marathon starts NOW! Then at 8/7c on @hallmarkchannel, catch @awalkk35 again in the all new Kentucky Roses, next day on @hallmarkplus! 🏇”
Sounds like the CURIOUS CATERER’s fate is in Hallmark’s hands.
