For King + Country’s A DRUMMER BOY CHRISTMAS will be in theaters throughout the U.S. Dec. 5 – 9, their last “gift” to fans before the band takes a yearlong break from touring.

“After a whirlwind year, the inspirational duo…will take a brief touring hiatus in 2025 to spend some time with their families, to get back in the studio to create new music, and to work on their next feature film project,” a press release announced.

The Smallbone brothers’ annual Christmas show will come from the stage to the screen for the first time ever. The filmed special will have added festive bling and “stunning” effects.

“Christmas tours have become a sort of hallmark (not the channel) for us,” Joel and Luke Smallbone shared. “Our only sadness has always been that the season is so short, and we can only be in one place at one time- UNTIL THIS CHRISTMAS! Thanks to the excellent cinematic team from our feature film ‘Unsung Hero’ and the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, we have captured a live cinematic concert that will be in over 1000 movie theaters this holiday season from December 5-9.”

“Our friends at @FathomEvents have been so kind to place it in an astounding 1,500+ theatres.. within 30 min of almost every American! ?” The band added in an Instagram post.

“This will be our final touring gift to our audience until we resume in 2026, after taking next year to head into the studio and back onto the film set,” they continued. “Let’s usher in the greatest holiday of the year together.”

Tickets for the special event will be available from Friday, Oct. 25 on Fathom Events.

“A DRUMMER BOY CHRISTMAS” is the perfect celebratory end to a very busy year. The concert film features Joel and Luke Smallbone, their talented band and is produced by Joshua Walsh. For KING + COUNTRY recently released “UNSUNG HERO: The Inspired By Soundtrack” simultaneously with their new biopic film, UNSUNG HERO, which garnered $20+ million at the box office; and is now available on STARZ.”

Movieguide®’s review of their movie reads:

UNSUNG HERO is a true story about a Christian family from Australia’s struggles to survive and thrive in the rough and tumble music business while trying to serve God. When the father, David Smallbone, loses big on promoting an unsuccessful tour, he thinks relocating the family to Nashville may be their best route forward. Odd jobs and a local church keep the family afloat while David seeks work in the music industry. David’s father, wife Helen and others tell him he should focus on the musical talent living under his own roof. The family’s prospects rise when he takes that advice to heart. Can focusing on God and family lead them to the new life they seek?

UNSUNG HERO is a powerful, compelling story of faith and family, told with lots of sincerity and heart. The acting and writing is very good and convincing. UNSUNG HERO has a strong Christian, biblical worldview. The family’s Christian faith is not only clear from their repeated prayers to Jesus to guide and provide for them, but also from their infectious enthusiasm and spiritually uplifting song lyrics.

For King + Country are presently on their 31-stop “The UNSUNG HERO 2024 Tour” across the U.S. They sing tracks from their latest album, UNSUNG HERO: The Inspired By Soundtrack and have their final stop in Dallas on Nov. 10.

“A little behind-the-scenes? of this show, with these people…” the band shared on Oct. 13 with a few pictures of themselves from the tour. “my oh my, are we having the time of our lives on this tour. With everything happening in the world, we’re grateful to be able to spread a little joy each night?, for such a time as this. We’re mindful of you this week, Florida??, and are looking forward to celebrating with you in November.”
