Great American Family Continues As ‘Fastest-Growing Network On TV’

Great American Family has reached a new ratings milestone — it’s now the fastest-growing network among viewers, and continues to hold its spot as the fastest-growing network on TV.
Nielsen Media Research reported that Great American Family finished the second quarter of 2023 as the “Fastest-growing network on TV in Total Day Women 25-54 (+83%), Households (+214%) and Total Viewers (+216%); and Primetime Households (+178%) and Total Viewers (+167%).”
The network also continues to be the fastest-growing network on TV in Total Day Households (+161%) and Total Viewers (+158%), as well as Primetime Households (+149%) and Total Viewers (+145%).
This is Great American Family’s eighth-cconsecutive month as the fastest-growing network “year-over-year in Total Day Household ratings.”
The network has been steadily growing this year. Their first quarter ratings were some of the largest gains reported among networks by Nielsen: “first-quarter primetime ratings were up 124% among total viewers and 118% in households. In total-day terms, ratings were up 119% in total viewers and 121% in households.”
Part of what contributed to Great American Family’s strong ratings are their popular Christmas movies.
A press release about the closing quarter of 2022 gave the credit to stars like Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar, Gladys Knight, and Jen Lilley, adding, “The expanded slate of 18 films marked a 50% increase in the network’s holiday movie offering in year two and further established Great American Family as a destination for original Christmas movies.”

According to a press release from Great American Family, led by CEO Bill Abbott, the new network is the number one fastest-growing network in cable television.
“Great news for Great American Media’s #GreatAmericanFamily to end 2022 and an even better way to start 2023,” GAC Family wrote in a post on Facebook. “Happy New Year to everyone who helped make this happen – from the people on-camera and off, but especially our viewers!”

Great American Family closed out Fourth Quarter 2022 as the fastest-growing network in all of cable television. In only its second year, the emerging leader in original Christmas movies ranked #1 in Total Day ratings growth in Households (+113%), People 18-49 (+100%) and Total Viewers (+116%), and #1 in Primetime ratings growth in Households (+128%) among all cable networks.
