On Saturday night, motorsports star Haiden Deegan won his sixth championship. Then on Sunday morning, he celebrated Easter with his family at church.
“Happy Easter! From Supercross to Church. As long as we are doing it as a family, I’m content,” Haiden’s dad, Brian Deegan, wrote on social media.
Brian then referenced Luke 24:1-12, which describes the moment when the women discovered that Jesus’ tomb was empty:

While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.” Then they remembered his words.
The father of three often celebrates time with his family.
“I feel you should work your hardest to be a part of your kids’ lives, then they get married and have kids, until then you’re their biggest supporter, and after that you support the families and generations that come after,” he explained on Instagram last year.
According to Racer X, Haiden clinched the 250 West Championship two rounds early. That title meant he secured back-to-back championships in the 250 class and will now be moving up to the 450 class.
“I’m so grateful. This 250 career has been insane. As a kid, I wanted to win one championship; that’s every kid’s dream. This is number six. We’re going to keep digging. I ain’t done yet. I’m not done ticking [championships] off, and we’re coming to the 450 Class swinging,” he said, per Vurbmoto.
After the win, he wrote on Instagram, “Welcome to the Deegan era…6 time 250 champion! 7 in a row😈 man what a 250 career, thanks to the fam and my team.”
After Haiden won the championship, Brian, who is also a professional freestyle motocross racer, shared how unbelievable it is to win six championships.
“Wow, what a Season. Think 5-10 years ago, we were talking about how cool it would be just to win a championship,” he wrote. “6 championships later. A lot of hard work, sticking to the game plan, putting faith first, then family, has paid off. Very proud of everyone involved. Now, time to make it home for Easter.”
It’s exciting to see athletes like Haiden excel in their careers while also prioritizing faith and family.
