DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD is available on PBS Kids.
FRANKLIN, another show based on a popular children’s book, follows a turtle “who is trying to figure out his place in the world.”
“Franklin is an every-turtle who is learning his way in his world, and he knows he is growing up,” Apple TV’s description reads. “Such self-awareness makes this turtle, who keeps his stuffed animal dog around even when he has outgrown it, very sympathetic indeed. Some educational content and gentle moral lessons add even more value to the series.”
FRANKLIN streams on Apple TV+.
Sometimes parents can feel overstimulated by entertainment choices, too. But never fear, these classic TV shows are the perfect way to relax at the end of a long day, either with your spouse or with the whole family.

The 1994 drama series starring Roma Downey is all about “angels who help people facing tough times, offering guidance and hope.”
It follows a trio of angels who inspire “people at crossroads in their lives to turn to God.”
Along the way, the angels themselves learn lessons. “The people being assisted have no idea that their benefactors are angels, of course. But when the person’s issue has been dealt with, the angels reveal themselves in a halo of light, and reassure their charges that God loves them,” a description reads.
It’s available to stream on Paramount+.
These five shows are an easy way to wind down and spend time together as a family without worrying that they’re overstimulating your kids.
