For influencer Brittany Lutz, having children changed her life.

“I’m not sacrificing my dreams in order to raise them,” she began in a social media post. “When I had Ashtyn, a lot of my ‘old’ dreams seemed to fade away. But that didn’t mean I ceased to have any dreams for my life.”

Instead, she developed new dreams and desires.

“Not only did I have a passion to fulfill the desires and calling God had on my life, but I wanted to be an example to my children as well,” Lutz explained. “Showing them what it looked like to create, take risks and step into all the opportunities and go through all the doors. But in that place sometimes my focus was more on the things happening outside of my house rather than on the little ones looking up to me inside my home.”

She’s noticed that whenever she puts her children first, God has fulfilled her dreams.

“Keeping your priorities straight not only matters but it is rewarded in the kingdom of God,” she wrote. “If you steward what He’s given you well and keep that at the forefront of your focus (second to Him of course), He WILL give you the desires of your heart. And a million other things you didn’t even know you desired!!”

Lutz, who is married to TWILIGHT star Kellan Lutz, often shares about courage and faith in her journey as a mom to two young children.

Last year, she wrote, “I am so humbled that God chose me to raise these two. It is a privilege, honor and assignment I don’t take lightly… To all the moms w kids in the house- I am praying for a supernatural grace, energy and ability to not just manage your children but to fully enjoy all that God created them, and you, to be in this season…”

She knows that this time she has with her little ones is fleeting and precious. She tries not to take it for granted.

“I had a flash of me in the future. Old. Grey. Quiet house. And it felt like being here today with the noise and the messes and even the uncertainties was almost a second chance at living, even though it’s the first time I’m experiencing it,” Lutz reflected earlier this year.

“All seasons have hard moments, but there is always something to be grateful for and someone to show up for, whether it’s someone else or tending to yourself, and when we do that, it’s impossible not to enjoy this moment, right here,” she said.

Lutz’s message shows that when faith and family remain at the center of our priorities, God blesses us far more than we ever imagined possible.
