How Long Did Chris Pratt Prepared for THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE?

THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE star Chris Pratt revealed how his childhood prepared him for his role in the video game adaptation.
“Honestly, if I had to count up the hours, and this is no hyperbole, I think it’s close to 25,000,000 hours that I played ‘Super Mario Bros,'” Pratt confessed. “30 years I’ve been preparing for this movie.”
The actor also opened up about being a girl dad.
“I love it,” he said of his two daughters, Lyla, 3, and Eloise, 1. “It’s really great.”
Pratt shares his daughters with wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger. He is also dad to Jack, 11, who he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris.
“This is my first time having daughters, and it’s fantastic,” the actor continued, adding that there are differences between having boys and girls.
“Lyla is so girly,” Pratt laughed. “I picked her up yesterday. She goes, ‘Daddy, that’s a cute outfit. Look, you have cute little pockets.’ That’s not something Jack ever said to me.”
Pratt also spoke about his famous father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“He’s a great grandfather, a great dad, [and] a good father-in-law,” he said. “He’s a great dude. We play chess a lot. And he loves his grandchildren.”
Pratt often talks about how close his kids are with each other.
The actor said Jack is “a great big brother” to Lyla and Eloise, saying, “He’s really great…He’s so gentle and sweet.”
Katherine also shared some details about Lyla’s relationship with Eloise, telling PEOPLE she is the “sweetest and most gentle, excited older sister.”
“She loves her and loves to spend time with her, and just to see their relationship forming already is really heartwarming and makes me really excited,” she continued.
