Why Influencer Kirby Kelly Focuses Content Creation on Christ: ‘Use Your Gifts’

Kirby Kelly, an influencer, author, speaker and Bible teacher, shared how she keeps her content creation career centered on God.

She told CBN’s 700 CLUB why, through fame and success, she stays focused on faith: it’s not about her.

“Going into my senior year, there was just one day where I really felt conviction and not in the sense of you did something wrong but a holy conviction of ‘This is what I’ve called you to do: to use your gifts, your talents and this platform to actually make my name known,'” Kelly shared.

“Something that He instilled in me, that He continues to humble me to remember to this day is I’m doing it for the one to reach the one,” she continued. “So, in world with social media especially, it’s all about having as many zeros behind your following or as many likes as possible. Just knowing that this is for the Lord, and to even reach one person, I felt that conviction and really just started to make content about Him.”

Across all social media platforms, Kelly’s accounts are dedicated to speaking the truth about God.

In a post on her Instagram, she encouraged her followers, saying, “We fight from victory and for victory! ”

“In order to live free, we have to understand that CHRIST HAS ALREADY WON ON THE CROSS,” Kelly wrote. “I used to think that in order to live free from the sin I was stuck in, I have to muster up all the strength I had (which was very little most of the time), and try and defeat something that felt so crushing, so much greater than me… but when I realized that Christ already won and I get to fight from that victory, I was actually empowered to call upon His name, His strength, His willpower, His guidance, and His wisdom to face whatever weapon was formed against me.”

She added, “The addictions, the habitual sins, the temptation, every single attack of the enemy wasn’t as scary to face knowing Jesus already put death, sin, and shame to death on the cross!!”

She explores finding freedom in Christ in more depth in her new book “You Can Be Free.”

“You do not have to live in shame, fear, or hopelessness that you will never be free. You can move forward in victory, with grace and confidence, that God can redeem your past sins and present struggles,” a summary of the book explains.

Her book officially launches June 11, but it’s now available for pre-order.
