Is Chick-fil-A the Perfect Spot for a First Date? The Answer Might Surprise You

What’s your ideal spot for a first date? Maybe a fancy steakhouse or a romantic walk on the beach? Well, according to a recent survey, most men have a different idea, and it doesn’t involve cows.
Fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A is the best spot for a first date, several thousand men said when asked about their preference for a first-date location.
Relevant Magazine reported, “The survey found that more and more first dates are going for casual fast-food spots in lieu of real restaurants. And yes, out of 3,000 American men surveyed, Chick-fil-A was the No. 1 spot for a first date.”

Dairy Queen took second place, followed by a tie between Pizza Hut and Sonic Drive-In.
“But just how many American men would look to take their date to one of the above fast food chains?” Dating News asked. “Approximately 54% of our survey respondents said they would be up for the idea, while a remarkable 66% of women said they would say yes if a man asked them out to somewhere like McDonald’s.”
“The old-school method of taking a new date out for dinner has been replaced by casual quick-service dates at coffee shops, bars, and even fast-food joints,” said Amber Brooks, editor-in-chief for Dating News. “A first date is a risk, and in this economy, modern singles are saving their time and money by opting for a chicken sandwich over a chicken marsala.”
Some point to economic woes for the changing dating trends.
CNN shared, “Dates are also getting more expensive due to inflation and going out on them takes up a huge amount of time. Of course, you want to make an effort — but the uncertainty of whether you will be able to pay bills, keep your job or have enough sleep before your next shift at your second job makes dropping an average of $58.54 on a date inherently more stressful. So half of Gen Z and millennials are simply opting for more inexpensive options.”
Casual dating locations, however, do not mean casually giving your heart away. Proverbs 4:13 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
