Jase Robertson Updates Fans On Daughter’s Latest Surgery: ‘Thank You For Praying For Her And For Our Family’

By Movieguide® Contributor

DUCK DYNASTY stars Jase Robertson gave fans an update on his daughter Mia’s latest surgical procedure.

Mia has undergone 14 operations to correct her cleft lip and palate.

“She’s doing great. She’s turned a corner,” Jase shared on an episode of his podcast, UNASHAMED. “Everything seems great, seems to be fine.”

“Surgery went a little longer than expected, but she is home and recovering,” he continued. “Thank you for praying for her and for our family. She is a champion!”

It’s unclear if this surgery marks Mia’s last procedure, but the 18-year-old seems optimistic.

“Surgery 14!” she wrote in a social media post. “Hopefully the last time i’ll see my doctors in this setting! it’s been a long road but we are at the finish line:)”

Mia started the Mia Moo Foundation in 2014 to raise awareness and funds for medical treatments for children born with cleft lip and cleft palate.

Movieguide® previously reported on Mia’s surgeries:

DUCK DYNASTY stars Jase and Missy Roberton’s youngest daughter, Mia, will undergo “major surgery” to mend her cleft lip and palate.

Mia, 17, has struggled with her condition since birth and underwent several operations to fix her mouth.

Missy Robertson announced Mia’s next round of medical trips via Instagram.

“Another medical road trip in the books. Along with our 6-week orthodontic visits to Dallas, we also make regular visits to Mia’s surgeon. And we ALWAYS stop in for Chuy’s queso and creamy jalapeño afterwards! #CleftCutie.”

The Robertson family founded “The Mia Moo Fund” to help children with similar conditions.

“The mission of Mia Moo is to inform, inspire, and improve the quality of life for children born with cleft lip/palate,” the website reads.

The Mia Moo Fund’s Instagram page updated followers on Mia’s next surgery.

“Mia saw her surgeon Dr. David Genecov and his staff and scheduled a major surgery. Dr. David Genecov, nurses Kelly and Jeanette, have been caring for her most of her life. What a blessing to see these familiar faces and hear their sweet greetings and genuine interest in her activities and interests each time we have to make these visits,” the post reads. “It has been a comfort to this mom, especially when I know that each visit means more changes, more discomfort, more risk for my child.”

The Robertsons are candid about their faith and also took the opportunity to thank God for the surgeons and Mia’s support team.

“However, I also take comfort in knowing God has led us to the perfect team for the best possible chance for my child’s success. This time is no different,” the post reads.
