Actress Jen Lilley has some wise words for anyone facing a challenge.

“Any time you hit a wall, it’s an opportunity to evaluate the situation, see if there’s a lesson you can learn from it,” she said during an episode of the “Manifesting Your Mission” podcast.

Lilley explained, “Sometimes you just need to turn and walk away from the wall. And sometimes, you need to be, like, ‘Is there a door here? Can I make a door?’”

Elsewhere in the podcast, the Hallmark actress shared how her faith has helped her overcome roadblocks in her career and life.

“[Faith] helps me not feel rejected, because it’s like, look, I already know I’m loved,” Lilley said. “I don’t need to book this role in order for me to feel validated. Do I want to book it? Of course.”

She continued, “All of us have had those moments where you’re screaming. You’re like, ‘I can’t believe this is it’ like, when you book the role, and we’ve all had moments where we’re like, ‘I really wanted that one, but ultimately, I just believe I’m on a higher path that’s not really dictated completely by me.’ I just have to do things with love and excellence.”

Lilley recently announced an exciting new project — the “Wake Up Your Campus” college tour, where the actress will partner up with campus ministries for fun events.

“I had this spiritual vision of a bright pink wave popping up all over college campuses, accompanied by a fire and revival of the Holy Spirit,” she told CBN. “And I was like, ‘Lord, what is this?’ And He gave me the name, ‘Wake Up Your Campus.’”

Lilley will send kits that include her latest book, “Wake Up Your Faith,” as well as tickets for a fun scavenger hunt, intended to get players in contact with campus ministry leaders.

“It really is like a treasure hunt that leads straight to Jesus,” she said.

Lilley compared the current rise in Gen Z’s interest in faith with the similar “Jesus Revolution” movement in the 1970s.

“I find that there’s a lot in common with the ‘Jesus People’ and the hippies in the 70s with the modern-day Gen Zs, kids who are in college right now,” she explained. “What the similarity is is they’re seeking truth in a lot of the wrong places, but they’re done with gimmicks, they’re done with sales pitches. They just — they don’t like division — they really just want truth.”

Lilley’s recent words are a reminder that a challenging situation can become an opportunity to learn and grow in ways you never imagined.
