HGTV Star Shares Reminder for 2025: ‘God Delights in Each of Us’

Even though she’s in the middle of concerning circumstances, HGTV star Jenny Marrs is choosing joy.

“I woke up in the middle of the night several days ago praying over an unsettled situation, and the word delight came to mind. It stuck with me when I woke up in the morning,” she captioned on an Instagram video Jan. 6. “Delight. ‘To take great pleasure in.’”

“A word that can only be sourced from a deep well of joy,” she continued. “Not dependent on circumstances. Not dependent on what others think. Not dependent on our own striving.”

She calls delight a “choice” to see how God sees things.

“…To see with our spiritual eyes instead of what’s physically happening around us. To delight in life’s small pleasures like the first snowfall and the sound of our children making one another laugh. May this next year be the year we stop fretting and start delighting. 🤍”

She shared a video of snow falling at night with the words, “May 2025 bring us delight. May we search for and find delight in each day, even for the briefest moment. May we rest in the fact that God delights in each of us — His kids.”

“‘The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they may stumble, they will never fall. For the Lord Holds them by the hand. -Psalms 37:23-24,’” the video finished.

Marrs’ husband, Dave, shared a photo of himself hanging a flag at the home of the episode’s subjects. He wrote, “Setting this flag, for the premiere episode of FIXER TO FABULOUS, tonight on @hgtv at 8/7c, was so special because we did it for a military family that has had a tough road and this house holds special memories for them. It was an honor to work on the Jennings home and share their family story. Hope you get a chance to watch.”
