LANDMAN’s Kayla Wallace, wife of WHEN CALLS THE HEART’s Kevin McGarry, says motherhood is the best thing that has ever happened to her.
“Mother. The newest part of me that became the best part of me the second we met. Motherhood has been the greatest joy of my life. Happy Mother’s Day 🩵” she wrote on Instagram alongside a cute photo of her baby’s hand holding both her and her husband’s fingers.
Many friends and fans congratulated Wallace.
Hallmark Channel commented on her post, “What a wonderful way to celebrate! 🥹🩷”

Wallace and McGerry have been very private about their baby’s arrival. This is the first glimpse they have given the world of their little one. Fans have not been told a name, gender or the baby’s birth date, but the baby’s hand looks to be a couple months old — none of those teeny tiny wrinkly newborn fingers.
In November, the actress shared a romantic bump pic on her socials. She said, “We can’t wait to meet you, baby♥️ Premiering 2026.”
On the red carpet for LANDMAN in November, Wallace was delighted when a photographer acknowledged her unborn baby.
She wrote, “What a wonderful night celebrating @landmanpplus 🧡 One of the many highlights: while Kevin and I were on the carpet, one photographer said ‘The 3 of you, look over here!’ 🧡”
The couple met on WHEN CALLS THE HEART Season 6 in 2018 when they bonded over a shared love for music. They went public with their relationship in 2020 and married in September 2024. Along with their little one, they also care for a dog named Darla.
They have also acted together in Hallmark’s 2022 movies, FEELING BUTTERFLIES and MY GROWN-UP CHRISTMAS LIST, PEOPLE reported.
A couple of other actors on WHEN CALLS THE HEART have also gotten together. The series’ main star, Erin Krakow, is married to Ben Rosenbaum, who played Mike Hickam on the show.
Krakow said why she thinks the show creates romance among the cast: “I think there’s just always been a bit of magic in Hope Valley,” she told PEOPLE in 2024. “There’s something so special about our show and the energy in Jamestown [British Columbia, Canada], where we shoot.”
She added, “There’s just something special about the show and the people involved. When you put a bunch of special people together in one place, connections are bound to be made.”
Congratulations to McGarry and Wallace on their journey into parenthood!
