WHEN CALLS THE HEART Kevin McGarry Shares BTS Info on Character Nathan

In a YouTube video of behind the scenes footage of WHEN CALLS THE HEART, Kevin McGarry said, “Nathan finally comes to terms with the fact that he’s not great at romance.”
However, that doesn’t mean Nathan will close himself off to love altogether.
“His heart has always been open,” McGarry added.
Nathan fell in love with the widowed schoolteacher, Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow). But, at the end of season 8, Elizabeth lets Nathan down as gently as one could and then confessed her love to Lucas (Chris McNally).
Fans were unsure if Nathan would ever get over Elizabeth, but in season 9 Mei Sou (Amanda Wong) joined the town as a pharmacist. Although there were obvious feelings between Nathan and Mei, nothing happened. In season 10, Nathan finally realized he might need to work on how he talks to women.
Nathan isn’t the only actor excited about what’s to come in the new Movieguide® award-winning series.
Krakow added her thoughts about season 10, “There will be a lot of growth, change, and discoveries.”
“WHEN THE HEART CALLS has always been about following one’s heart, and this season is no different,” Krakow said.
“It is a season that you will not want to miss,” she added.

Season 10 will kick off on July 30, with 12 episodes total.
