NBA Champion LeBron James recently spent a week in Rochester, Minnesota, and visited a Lourdes High School while there.

James shared a video of him surprising the students of Lourdes after one of his workouts.

“HUGE s/o Lourdes High School in Rochester, MN for this week’s long hospitality, prayers, love and support,” he wrote. ” I am very thankful for it all. Special thanks to Coach Larson for not only opening up the weight room and gym every day no matter the time but simply because of your generosity & helpfulness! To the faculty, teachers, coaches, principle [sic], students you guys absolute ROCK!!!! 🙏🏾🤎🫡👑#GoEagles P.S. As you can see, I surprised the students at the end of the week in the auditorium right after my workouts!”

One fan commented, “As a kid I can imagine being called into an assembly thinking the Principal was going to bore you with an announcement then….Boom LeBron James lol I would lose it.”

Shooting coach Chris Matthews wrote, “Always making an impact for others. Respect.”

Although James didn’t share why he was in Rochester, some speculate that it was for his son, Bronny James, who recently suffered cardiac arrest while training at the University of Southern California.

TODAY reported, “Bronny has previously been treated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, though James didn’t explicitly say why he spent this past week there.”

A spokesperson for the James family said in a statement after Bronny’s cardiac arrest, “After a comprehensive initial evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center led by Dr. Merije Chukumerije and follow-up evaluations at the Mayo Clinic led by Dr. Michael J. Ackerman and Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center led by Dr. Matthew W. Martinez, the probable cause of Mr. James’ sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) has been identified. It is an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect which can and will be treated,” per TODAY.

The spokesperson added, “We are very confident in Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future. We will continue to provide updates to media and respectfully reiterate the family’s request for privacy.”

After the incident, James shared a video of Bronny playing the piano. James wrote, “GRAND RISING!! God Is Great! @bronny YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Simple as that! Keep going Young!!! We’re here right with you every step of the way! #JamesGang👑”
