Mario Lopez just shared his daughter’s first day of high school photo in a humorous Instagram post.
“Prayers up…she’s officially in the land of nuns, uniforms, and no boys,” he captioned alongside a photo of his 14-year-old daughter, Gia, in her school uniform.
“Have a wonderful school year Gia!!!” one fan commented.
“Go Gia Go!!!! We love you” said Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover.

Gia, Lopez, his wife Courtney and their other kids, Domonic and Santino, all attended the 2025 Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala, which Lopez hosted. At the gala, he brought his family on stage with him when he presented.
“Tell them your favorite TV shows this year and your movie and why,” Lopez encouraged his 11-year-old, Dominic, later on the Movieguide® red carpet.
“Well, my favorite TV show is COBRA KAI. I watched all six seasons twice,” Dominic told Movieguide®. “I love that show. I’m obsessed with it.”
“It’s my favorite show ‘cause I like a lot of action in shows and I’m starting to get to the point, starting to get older to where, like, I don’t just all want action,” he explained. “I can understand like talking and stuff, too, like the drama and everything, but yeah, COBRA KAI is my favorite show.”
Lopez had taken Gia and Dominic to the COBRA KAI premiere of Season 6 the week before the gala, where the kids had a blast.
He, Courtney and Nico all performed together in Great American Family’s ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH, which came out last December. Movieguide® gave it a +2 rating.
Lopez has implemented faith and family values throughout his life and career as a Hollywood actor.
“My faith is very important to me, and I’m vocal about it…I’m not ashamed,” Lopez told Fox News Digital last year.
“My kids are raised in a faith-based education. They all go to Catholic school,” he said. “It’s something that’s the infrastructure of our family, and I’m proud of that.”
The SAVED BY THE BELL stars says his faith has grown as he’s gotten older. In 2018, he got baptized in the same river that Jesus was baptized in.
“This is awesome! Wow!” he said after his baptism. “Just got baptized in the Jordan River. Hallelujah.”
He previously shared on social media, “Once you hit a certain age, all you really want is God, family, stability and peace.”
Whether on red carpets or in his family living room, Lopez remains committed to creating a legacy built on faith, peacefulness and joy — his children are already following in his footsteps.
