Matthew Stafford Celebrates 2022 Super Bowl Win With Family: ‘I Wouldn’t Be Here If It Wasn’t For Them’

After 13 years in the NFL, Los Angeles Rams’ Quarterback celebrated his first Super Bowl win.

The 34-year-old led his team to a 23-20 victory on Feb. 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Stafford shared the achievement with his four daughters, twins Sawyer and Chandler, 4, Hunter, 3, and Tyler, 19 months, and wife, Kelly, at SoFi stadium.

Stafford credited his success on the field to his family’s support off the field.

“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them,” he told PEOPLE earlier this season. “I would never have made the decision to go in and ask to be traded [somewhere] unless I had full support from my family and understanding that things were going to change, things were going to be different both professionally and personally.

“Having that support is the reason that I’m here today,” he added. “The fact that we got chosen to join the L.A. Rams is something that we feel so blessed to be a part of and have that opportunity.”

Stafford’s primary connection on the field, wide receiver Cooper Kupp, won Super Bowl MVP after a historic season with the Rams.

Movieguide® previously reported:

Wide receiver Cooper Kupp gave glory to God during his speech after his L.A. Rams took the Super Bowl championship, scoring a touchdown in the last quarter to claim victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I do not feel deserving,” Kupp said in a post-game interview. “God is just so good.”

Kupp caught the game-winning touchdown, beating the Bengals 23-20, and was named Super Bowl MVP.
