STRANGER THINGS star Millie Bonnie Bongiovi, formerly Millie Bobby Brown, is putting down roots in Georgia.
It’s where she’s lived since she filmed STRANGER THINGS as a child.
“I grew up here, you know? This is the longest place I’ve been consecutively in my life because of STRANGER THINGS. For me this is home,” Bongiovi said.
The star’s parents weren’t big fans of Hollywood, so they were happier to stay in Georgia, rather than LA, Fox News reported.
“They didn’t want me to grow up in that world,” Bongiovi said of Hollywood. “I love what I do, but it doesn’t define me. You have a sense of purpose within your own personal life.”
Brown lives at her Georgia farm with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, and their baby daughter.

“I’m not doing it [farm life] for the aesthetic. I’m doing it because I love it. There are maybe some trad wives out there doing it because it seems wholesome, but it is not. If you’re not picking up horse s— or washing a cow with your bare hands, then that life is not made for you. At all,” Bongiovi said.
“You think animals are peaceful. You think the South is peaceful. You think this place is peaceful,” she continued. “But there’s so much chaos.”
PEOPLE reported the star is taking online classes at Purdue University to veterinary technician degree. Sounds about right. This year, Bongiovi said she has 62 animals.
She said, “My animals are loud, and it’s messy and my dogs are crazy. And there is, you know, laughter and a lot of passion and excitement, and it is a very vibrant place. There is so much chaos, and that is where I thrive.”
“I had a 200-pound sheep in my house at one point,” she said previously. “He was ripping my curtains down.”
Bongiovi got engaged to Jake when she was 20 years old.
“I understood I was young – I know that, I truly just can’t say it enough,” Bongiovi told Vogue. “When you meet that person, you know it.”
“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19,” she said. “This has been my thing since before I met Jake. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
The couple adopted their daughter this summer.
“It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey – she’s taught us so much already. Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy,” she said.
Before the adoption, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE, “She’s so young, but so focused. And she has the biggest heart. There’s no doubt that she’s a great mom. Pretty much everything she sets her mind to, she crushes.”
“They have really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia. She loves her farm — it’s going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up,” the source said. “Even before they were married, she often spoke about her wish to be a young mom. And Jake was always on the same page. They’re in it together.”
It’s wonderful to see a young Hollywood star prioritize family.
