Miss Kay Robertson of DUCK DYNASTY fame seems to be doing better following the death of her husband Phil and a few health scares earlier this year.
“She is doing so much better,” her son, Willie Robertson, revealed. “It’s unbelievable how she made the turn. I think she was just really kind of depressed after Phil passed away. You know, you’ve been with somebody for 60 years, over 60 years, so just losing her soulmate and she is getting older.”
Willie’s wife Korie chimed in, sharing that the 77-year-old has participated in more family events recently.
“She’s been with us for a few things that we’ve been filming this week,” she said. “So that’s been really special. And, you know, that’s a special part about our show. We feel like it’s just getting to do it with our family and getting to spend that time together.”
She added, “We get to spend a lot of time with Uncle Si, which is super fun and to get to have Kay there, but yeah, she is getting older, and that comes with health issues, but she’s doing really well.”
Willie said that following Phil’s death in May, the family has leaned on God throughout their grief.
“We were just happy knowing that he’s gone on to be with the Lord, and he was so secure in that,” he said. “That’s pretty much all he talked about his whole life was whenever it ended, the faith and hope that he had.”
In June, Willie said his mom was “not in the best of health,” adding that she was dealing with depression following her husband’s death.
But by sticking “close to the family” and taking “care of her friends and the relationships she had,” Miss Kay seems to be pulling through.
“We’re thankful that she’s seeing brighter days now and seeing where she’s at in life, and life without Phil, and Phil was bigger than life. He leaves a big void, for sure, and I know them two were so together in pretty much everything that they did, so I know it was hard for her,” Willie said.
Phil and Miss Kay’s early relationship wasn’t easy, as the 2023 movie THE BLIND documented.

“I’m not sure any of us know where life is going to take us, but even through the painful days of the past, I would do it a thousand times over to get to the Phil and Kay we are today,” Miss Kay posted in 2023 along with pictures of the couple. “Today we are covered by the Grace of God and that has made all the difference.”
We wish Miss Kay continued comfort and healing through this difficult time.
