Our ministry year, from Sept 1st 2024 to Aug 31st 2025, was filled with incredible meetings in Hollywood Entertainment Industry, world travels to speak and teach, and major interviews to discuss the state of the entertainment industry.
One of my favorite blessings was the publication of my book about my Hollywood star father: BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE GOLDEN AGE OF HOLLYWOOD AND BROADWAY: THE LEGACY OF ROBERT ALLEN. This book is not only about my father, who as you know, was on Broadway and in Western Films, but it is also about how actors can navigate the entertainment industry. I was honored to write this book, as I have written and contributed to 47 books, because of the meaning and purpose behind it. I believe readers will be enriched by reading about Old Hollywood. In terms of the major entertainment industry which consists of the five major studios, one minor studio and two major streamers, we met with top Hollywood entertainment industry directors, producers and studio heads almost every week over the last ministry year. For instance, the writer director of WILD ROBOT, said that he loved MOVIEGUIDE® and that we were the only ones who understood the Christian Biblical themes of his movies. The producer of INSIDE OUT 2 took me aside and introduced me to the director and the writer of the movie exclaiming with each introduction that each of them was a Christian. The movie finally made $2.1 billion dollars because of its great theme: The Joy of the Lord is Our Strength. The head of the biggest Hollywood company invited me to dinner when he was filming STREET FIGHTER in Sydney, Australia, while at the same time he was filming DUNE 3 in Budapest, Hungary. He said he loved MOVIEGUIDE® and would do all he can to help us. Several of the top people at Disney asked for advice in reaching the Christian audience including the head of production. Also, they were many more wonderful relationships that grew and were blessed.
We also held several HOW TO SUCCEED IN HOLLYWOOD (WITHOUT LOSING YOUR SOUL) Master Classes where the top lecturers participated, and the students went on from the class to make movies and transform the enter industry.
I spoke around the world to producers and donors in Rhodes, Greece, Sydney, Australia and several other places.
The MOVIEGUIDE® Awards Gala was better than ever. Roma Downey said that when she starred in TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL in the 1990s one Entertainment Industry executive whispered to her that she too was a believer. Roma says now we can shout our faith in Jesus Christ from the housetops thanks to MOVIEGUIDE®.
I had the great honor to speak at the Writers Guild of America thanks to a very good friend. People came up to me throughout the year and told me that they saw me at the Writers Guild of America and were thankful for our Report to the Entertainment Industry.
Several major interview programs interviewed me including Newsmax, World Net Daily and many others.
In fact, the year was packed with miraculous interviews, speaking and meetings.
One example was that I lectured, was interviewed and met with filmmakers nine times in Australia in three and a half days, including having a wonderful evening with C.S. Lewis’ step-son’s son. C.S. Lewis’ step-son is the God-father of my daughter-in-law and oldest granddaughter.
As a result of all these wonderful meetings, there are more movies with overt Christian faith coming out of the entertainment industry. For instance:
In 2025:
1. PADDINGTON IN PERU has lots of overt Christian references promoting Christian faith that commend God’s biblical plan for family by proving that family is the real treasure, more precious than gold.
2. In the live action LILO & STITCH, Lilo’s love and devotion change Stitch’s heart, allowing him to feel love and want to be part of her family.
3. SUPERMAN proves that love triumphs over greed while showing that it’s Superman’s American parents make Superman a loving, good person.
4. THE LAST RODEO has a strong Christian, biblical worldview where the hero accepts God’s grace.
5. THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS is pro-life and focuses on protecting babies stressing the importance of mothers and fathers.
6. In MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – THE FINAL RECKONING, the hero Ethan Hunt undergoes a symbolic baptism, death and resurrection, and is even saved by Grace, the romantic female lead.
In 2024:
7. In INSIDE OUT 2, Joy helps the young hero, Riley, overcome Anxiety and Pride so she can ask forgiveness and repent illustrating what the Bible tells us that “the Joy of the Lord is our strength.”
8. DUNE: PART TWO shows that power corrupts.
9. KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES has Christian, biblical references to Moses and has the Hero, named Noa, rescue his family from a great flood.

In fact, last year there were so many Christ oriented Christmas movies that it was hard to keep up with them. One of the Entertainment Industry movie website said that there were around 400; and, Easter movies based on the Bible also flooded theaters and streaming; and, the best are yet to come.
Why is this incredible? because when we started MOVIEGUIDE® in 1985 (the ministry started in 1978), most of the movies portrayed Christians as the villains. There was only one movie in 1985 with a positive overt presentation of the Good News of Jesus Christ, that is: THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL. Now, the Gospel is being proclaimed in a flood of movies in unambiguous biblical terms.
None of this would have happened with God’s constant, miraculous help, and I’m grateful for all He has done and is doing to fulfill the calling he laid on my heart to redeem the values of the entertainment industry.
