Popular kids’ entertainer Ms. Rachel is sharing her Christian faith as she calls on world leaders to help children who are suffering from malnutrition.
“I am writing this because I am a Christian and Jesus tells us to feed the poor, love our neighbor and that everyone is our neighbor and that when we do things to people in need with do them to Him,” she captioned an Instagram post.
The photo shows a severely malnourished baby who is “so weak she can’t even cry.”
Ms. Rachel — real name: Rachel Griffin Accurso — continued, “Jesus did not say help only your neighbors with the same skin color, same religion or who were born in the same place. Love your neighbor as yourself. Love this baby as your own.”
“I am writing because I just know what’s right and what’s wrong and you do, too,” she wrote, pleading with world leaders to “save this baby and all of the children who are suffering from malnutrition.”
Accurso continued, “Whatever is causing you to not speak up for this baby is not more important than her life and your humanity…Please imagine a baby you love. Do you think she is different than that baby? Do you think Palestinian children are not like other children? You must have convinced yourself they are or how could you look away? How could you be silent?”
“They need us to be brave,” Accurso concluded. “They need you to see them as children so stop looking away & see them.”
The children’s YouTuber has been advocating for children of all nationalitis amid ongoing wars and political crises. Many refugees are facing serious malnourishment, as well as negative developmental effects caused by the traumatic conditions they are living under.

“It’s sad that people try to make it controversial when you speak out for children that are facing immeasurable suffering,” Accurso said in an interview with Zeteo. “The idea that caring for a group of children in an emergency situation means you don’t care about other children is false. And I just don’t understand it.”
Accurso has previously spoken about how her faith has called her to advocate for children in need.
“It’s my unwavering belief that children aren’t less valuable or less equal because of where they were born, the color of their skin, or the religion they practice,” she wrote in another Instagram post. “They are all precious and innocent children of God.”
Accurso’s advocacy for children in need around the world is a reminder to love our neighbors and help those who are in need.
