Natalie Grant asked fans for prayers following internal injuries caused by a serious fall.
“Moving [daughter] Bella home from college didn’t end quite the way we planned,” Grant shared on Facebook. “On Thursday night, after packing boxes and loading the car, we walked to dinner. And somewhere between the hotel and the restaurant, I tripped on a sidewalk and took a hard fall. I mean, very hard fall. Basically I WIPED OUT.”
The singer wrote that what she assumed was a “fractured rib” turned out to be “a serious internal situation with a bleeding kidney, a blood clot in my bladder and surgery this morning to fix it all.”
“What in the world?! Who trips and falls on a sidewalk and injures a couple organs?!” Grant joked, adding, “But thank you Jesus, it went well today, I’m on the mend and will make a full recovery.”

She continued, “Thanking God for incredible doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who moved quickly, cared deeply, and got me through a pretty scary situation. I sure would appreciate your prayers for a quick recovery. Hug your people. Slow down. And maybe…watch where you’re walking.”
Grant shared another update with fans, writing, “Back in Nashville and recovering…and I don’t think I have words for how grateful I am. I’ve read so many of your messages and prayers, and I’ve felt every single one. There is something so powerful about the family of God. Even in the middle of something unexpected, you realize you’re not alone.”
The popular CCM artist recently spoke to the Christian Post about how faith-based music is beginning to come into secular culture.
“When I started, Christian music was desperate to cross over,” Grant explained. “Now we’re watching mainstream artists cross into Christian music because the message has changed their lives. You can feel it. People are desperate for hope.”
She continued, “Scripture talks about a great falling away and a great awakening. It’s happening at the same time. Yes, the world feels dark, but God is still revealing Himself through His people.”
Grant pointed to younger generations for this crossover, saying, “They’re hungry for God’s presence. You see it in the new worship movements, in artists like Forrest Frank bringing something fresh. It looks different, but the message is the same.”
“Sometimes I think, what will the world look like for my kids and grandkids?” she finished. “But then I remember: God’s Word never changes. The flowers fade, but His Word remains forever.”
