Natasha Bure Perry won Movieguide®’s Grace Prize® for most inspiring TV actress for her role in TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY — which she was happily “shocked” to receive.
“I’m out of breath. I’m so shocked, but I’m excited,” she said backstage after the Awards Gala last month.
“It was just an amazing amazing project to be a part of in general. Obviously, working with your family is so fun and to be around my mom who’s so outspoken about her faith, it’s just encouraging in general,” Perry said. “The film…really does bring such light and joy which I think our world needs more of.”
She was grateful to be a part of the movie and believes that it delivered the kind of content viewers are hungry for.

“I talked about that earlier tonight, just how I think we are craving the stories that bring joy and light and peace. And so I’m glad that we’re making more of it!” Perry said.
Before the ceremony, Perry said, “It’s really such a gift to work with people that you love and even more special to do it with your parents. So it was a very, very incredible experience that I’m super grateful for.”
While they worked on the movie, she and her mom, Candace Cameron Bure, lived in an apartment together and drove to set every day.
“It just felt, you know, like the best bond ever,” she gushed.
TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY is about a woman, Ally, played by Candace, who inherits a letter-press shop her grandmother, Joy, played by Natasha, opened in the ’40s. When Ally prepares to sell the shop, she meets a man who wants to preserve her grandmother’s unique legacy. But a divine intervention forces them both to look at the shop, and themselves, in a new light.
Part of Movieguide®’s review of the family movie reads, “TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY is a charming, heartfelt Christmas romance that fans of the genre will enjoy and embrace. Candace Cameron Bure is excellent in the lead. Not surprisingly, she has excellent onscreen chemistry with her daughter, Natasha, who plays the young version of Joy, the grandmother.”
“TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY has a strong Christian, moral worldview. It stresses the importance of trusting in God’s plan, with scenes featuring Christmas celebrations, prayer and Scripture. The movie also promotes family, community, free enterprise, and sacrificing to help others.”
