NFL draft prospect Taylen Green set multiple records at the NFL Combine, but his faith in Christ always takes first place.
While at the combine, Green completed a “4.36-second 40-yard dash, the first quarterback to run under 4.4 seconds in the drill since at least 2003,” per Sports Spectrum.
The athlete also recorded a “43.5-inch vertical and an 11-foot-2 broad jump, both combine records for quarterbacks since at least 2003.”

After he set those records, Green was asked about his fiancée, Analisse Batista, a track and field athlete at Arkansas. While the interviewer assumed she is the most important person in the quarterback’s life, he made a slight correction.
“First, the most important person in my life is Jesus Christ,” Green said before adding, “… [Batista is] gonna be second once we get the ring on.”

While at the Senior Bowl in January, he spoke about how he relied on prayer this past season.
“That’s really a big thing,” Green told Sports Spectrum as the Arkansas Razorbacks went 2-10 this past season, “just giving it to God. Any worries, anxieties, things that I’m going through.”
In 2024, Green spoke about his faith and what it means in his life.
“[Jesus is] everything to me,” he said on the “Sports Spectrum” podcast. “I start my day with Him and end my day with Him. I’m just blessed to have a family that taught me to always keep Him first when I was just even a little kid.”
On of the most influential people in his life was his father, who kept Green accountable in his prayer life. His sister also encouraged him to spend more time in God’s Word.
“Without Jesus, I’m nothing,” he said on the podcast. “Without His love and His care and His guidance just going through my whole life — the ups and downs that I’ve been through — He’s the only Truth and the Way to help me through.”
As Green finished up his time at the NFL Combine, he shared several photos from the event, along with a Bible verse in the caption.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight,” Proverbs 3:5-6 reads.
Though Green set three NFL Combine records, his faith that shined the most. His trust in God will certainly aid him as he works towards securing a spot in the NFL.
