Phil And Miss Kay Robertson Feel ‘So Much Joy’ as Grandchildren Are Baptized

By Movieguide® Contributor

DUCK DYNASTY’s Phil and Miss Kay Robertson are sharing the “joy” they felt after seeing their granddaughter be baptized.

Phil posted a photo of himself baptizing granddaughter Mia.

“A few summers ago, I got to baptize my granddaughter Mia,” he captioned the photo. “She accepted the good news and found true freedom in Jesus.”

Miss Kay also posted about the special moment, writing, “This was so special. It brings me so much joy to see my grandchildren get baptized and live their lives for Jesus.”

Both posts also mentioned the Robertson family’s upcoming “Faith, Family, Freedom Celebration,” which will take place July 2 at Logtown Estate in Monroe, Louisiana.

“Come hear the gospel, be baptized, and bring your kids for games, worship, food, and fireworks,” Miss Kay wrote.

Phil added, “Jesus and freedom are always something to celebrate. It’s the right way to roll.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Phil’s work baptizing others:

In an interview with Billy Hallowell from the “Edifi” podcast, Robertson said that his podcast is fulfilling his goal of reaching people for Christ.

“They’re coming from that podcast… about nine or maybe 10 in the last three days—they’ve come all the way down here,” Robertson said when people started to go to Louisiana to become baptized in person. “And I’ve baptized that whole little crew. Well, it’s that way every day or two. They just keep coming.”

Robertson said that there is no unique strategy for getting people to come to get baptized.

“All we’re doing is we’re reaching out to our neighbor, and we’re telling them to love their God, repent and turn to God, walk like Jesus did,” Robertson said. “Love God and love your neighbor … I do not see the downside to that.”
