Tim Tebow reminds us that, while our plans might not always work out, God’s purpose for our lives is never in question.
“Plans change. Life takes turns you didn’t expect,” he wrote in a recent Instagram post. “But your purpose? That doesn’t go away. God’s hand is still guiding the story, even when the path looks different than you imagined.”

For Tebow, his purpose is to continue to combat sex trafficking around the world.
The former NFL player recently testified before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism, where he asked Congress to pass the bipartisan Renewed Hope Act of 2026, which “would create and equip a dedicated workforce of 200 analysts, investigators and forensic specialists focused specifically on identifying unknown children seen in sexual abuse images so they can be located and safeguarded,” per an op-ed Tebow penned for The Hill.
“Our country’s most precious and vulnerable lives have been forgotten,” he said during his testimony. “Every day, these children lose hope, and it’s not the fault of law enforcement that these children wait. They need more resources, plain and simple.”
Tebow shared that, in preparation for his appearance before Congress, he asked Interpol for the number of unidentified children in explicit images and videos.
“It’s now over 89,000 series. And that’s just one database,” he said. “The U.K. has a database called CAID. The Child Abuse Image database. Canada has a database. Their database has over 94 million uncategorized files waiting for assessment that it has scraped from the dark web. We don’t even know yet how many children that represents.”
Tebow continued, “I am deeply grateful to the members of Congress on both sides of the aisle who are coming together to support the Renewed Hope Act of 2026. This legislation gives our nation the opportunity to build a stronger rescue team of analysts and investigators so that children who are suffering can be identified and protected. This is a problem we can solve.”
In his Hill op-ed, Tebow continued urging Congress to pass this act, writing, “We are proud to support congressional leaders working to pass this legislation, because it reflects the scale and seriousness this crisis demands.”
“For far too long, children have suffered in silence while their abuse has hidden in the darkness and vastness of the internet. That silence must end,” he continued. “We know these children exist. The question is whether we will build the capacity to find them. The Renewed Hope Act of 2026 is an opportunity to do just that.”
Tebow concluded, “We have the power — and the moral obligation — to help stop the exploitation, trafficking and abuse of children. Congress must use its authority now.”
No matter how your plans change, God still has a purpose for you.
