Children’s content platform pocket.watch will use AI to expand its reach and monetize more content for its creators.
The company hosts franchises such as “Ryan’s World” and “Love, Diana” and created an AI tool called Channelyzer AI that “streamlines the analysis of a creator’s YouTube channel library to optimize content for distribution on premium streaming platforms and to provide critical insights for unlocking franchise potential,” per Deadline. The AI model can identify popular content to generate reports that can share a video’s ratings and popularity.
Pocket.watch’s partnership with Troveo will allow creators to license their content to AI and earn revenue from generative AI model training.
Chris Williams, Founder and CEO of pocket.watch, said
“YouTube has always been the most democratic platform, and pocket.watch was ahead of the curve in recognizing the power of its creators,” said Chris Williams, founder and CEO of pocket.watch.
He continued, “Now AI represents the next frontier in the creator landscape, opening an array of new opportunities for greater efficiency, creativity, and revenue. Through Channelyzer AI and our collaboration with Troveo, we’re offering our creators a turnkey solution to ethically and meaningfully participate in the next wave of innovation, without compromising the safety or values of our kid-focused ecosystem.”
Pocket.watch gained popularity through its large content platform and partnerships. Its website says it is “The World’s #1 Distributor of Kids and Family Creator Shows…Driving billions of minutes of watch-time across 40+ leading video channels and platforms around the globe…”
The company currently has 59 creators, 1.3 billion subscribers and over 955 billion views. It has also secured deals with Hulu, Disney+, Peacock and Amazon Kids+ to further its reach.
“You need to be everywhere kids are, not just YouTube,” Williams previously said. “We have the power to reach the biggest generation in history in a media world that’s very fragmented.”
Last month, the creators behind pocket.watch’s shows RYAN’S WOLRD, TOYS AND COLORS and KIDS DIANA SHOW were all nominated for the Fan Fav Kid’s Creator Award at the Kid’s Choice Awards, another example of the platform’s growing influence.

Despite the platform’s popularity and growing technology, parents still need to be cautious about pocket.watch content. Despite its claim to family-friendliness, in 2021 it hosted a show called LILLY SINGH’S PROUD PRINCESS, an LGBTQ show for children.
This should remind parents that as platforms grow and expand, we need to be evermore cautious and know what exactly kind of content our kids are watching.
