Artist Taylor Gordon, better known as The Pocket Queen, had never acted until she starred in LIFE OF CHUCK, an experience that she’s grateful for — even though she didn’t see it coming.

“I am grateful for the fact that I didn’t understand the gravity of what I was doing…because if I had really known Mike Flanagan and really known all of the people who were a part of this process, I think it would’ve been a little too intimidating,” she told Movieguide® this week.

She only had two weeks to learn to act and film and felt skeptical.

“But it just seemed to work so well,” she said. “There was a little moment during the process of putting together the choreography and shooting the scene where I felt…a little bit anxious.”

When Annelise Bosso — an actress in the movie — gave her a hug, she felt like she was meant to be there.

“Like, ‘You’re here for a reason, and this is all a plan,’” Gordon said. “So, went out there to shoot it, and it turned out to be fairly seamless and easy. Especially working with Mike and his direction, telling me what to do and what face to make and how to say things.”

Gordon said the movie is “One of the most beautiful works of art I’ve had the honor to be apart of.”

The movie also stars Tom Hiddleston, Karen Gillan, Mark Hamill and Mia Sara.

Part of Movieguide®’s -2 review of the movie reads, “THE LIFE OF CHUCK is an interesting movie that tries to break the norm but ultimately misses the mark. The story tries to include a dramatic plot twist, but it doesn’t flow in a typical pattern, with a beginning, middle and end.” And it “has a mixed worldview.”

Gordon has been a composer, drummer, singer and now an actor. But she wants to be whatever God wants her to be.

“I just really have the heart posture of just serving well whatever title at that time that I have, whether it be a wife, a mother, an aunt, a sister, a friend, an actor, or whatever. My main goal is to just really bring light to people and shine light back to Him,” she told Movieguide®. “So I’m a vessel.”

She confirms this on her socials. Her Instagram bio reads, “Whatever GOD wants me to be.”

Gordon has a great attitude about her future. She’ll keep doing great things — just watch.
