By Movieguide® Contributor
TikTok personality Emily Vondy is opening up about how her fifth pregnancy helped her feel more connected to God.
“I think that the reason I went so far past my due date was because — I talked a little about this during [the pregnancy],” Vondy said in an Instagram story. “I talked about how God was really just teaching me something new every day I went past my due date. Really just keeping me in this…just holding me during that time.
She explained that she felt “very loved and supported and at peace” during that time, adding, “it really kind of made my faith a lot stronger.”
“I just felt so close and connected to my Heavenly Father in the days going past my due date,” Vondy explained. “I think He’s preparing me for how hard this postpartum is. Each postpartum has been a little different, but I would rank this one up here as one of the hardest.”
She and her husband welcomed Vivian Joan on Nov. 6, and Vondy has been keeping fans updated on the pregnancy and birth via social media.
In a video showing her going into labor, the social media star said, “Dive in. This is good. You are safe. God has got you and has equipped and empowered you to not only birth your baby but to mother all of your children well. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for this privilege of motherhood.”
Vondy shared the steps of her birthing process in another video.
“My husband and God truly carried me through this birth,” she wrote. “I laughed and smiled through some of my toughest contractions, something I had prayed for.”
“Thank you all so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers,” Vondy added. “I felt each one of them. I will do a story series soon on the ways I was carried through this Labor. It’s a testimony that needs sharing.”
