Tim Tebow Will Keep Rescuing Exploited Children Until This Happens

Tim Tebow’s organization’s latest anti-trafficking campaign Unknown & Unfinished, in partnership with law enforcement, has helped find over 800 child victims of sexual exploitation so far.

But the football star and activist isn’t stopping there. He shared on X that while we can find peace knowing when Jesus died on the cross, He said, “It is finished,” as believers, there is still work to do.

“[W]hile Jesus’s mission is finished, ours is not. Not while there are hundreds of thousands of boys and girls suffering,” Tebow said. “The mission isn’t finished until all children are known, until all are loved, and until all are free.”

The goal of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s latest campaign is to help locate exploited children around the world.

One of the foundation’s ways to achieve this is to “equip law enforcement with training and technology that can lead to the most vulnerable children and the most dangerous offenders,” the foundation’s website reads.

To date, the Unknown & Unfinished campaign has raised over $700,000 according to their website, and, as The Christian Post reported, the organization has partnered with over 20 organizations and nonprofits to fight sex trafficking.

The Heisman Trophy winner says there is still much work to be done. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received more than 18,000 reports of possible child sex trafficking in 2023, and one out of six children of the 28,800 reported missing to NCMEC the same year are estimated to be sex trafficking victims.

“Around the world and in our backyard, so many boys and girls are in their darkest hour of need. That’s the heart of why we care so much about this and why we are trying to rally people to this,” Tebow said.

The 37-year-old said spiritual warfare comes with the territory in fighting this evil, but he and his team find encouragement through the Bible verse John 16:33 which reads:

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

“[W]e need to remember that where we find peace is in Him; we know there’s going to be trials and tribulations, but we can take heart,” Tebow told The Christian Post. “We can choose courage.”

The Tim Tebow Foundation not only fights sex trafficking but also helps support orphans and those with special needs.

Our heart at @timtebowfoundation is to fight for the Most Vulnerable People, the MVP— those who have been viewed as less than, insignificant or cursed, who have been thrown away, abandoned, trafficked or orphaned, or are in need of life-changing medical intervention,” he wrote. “Just as every life is valuable to God, every life is valuable to us at TTF.”

“In Ephesians 2:10, it says that we are ‘…created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them,’” Tebow continued. “At TTF, we believe that each one of us has not only been saved from something but that we have also been saved for something. If you believe you are called to fight alongside TTF, if your heart aches for the hurting people around the world, we invite you to answer the call and join our mission to fight for the MVP – the Most Vulnerable People around the world.”

“Since TTF was created 13 years ago, they’ve used their pillars of Faith, Hope, and Love to positively impact those in need in 86 nations and counting,” Inspire More reported.
